Doodle Club

Doodle Club is a monthly membership with an online community of people who want to commit to being more creative. The club offers support and inspiration to help you develop a creative habit through weekly doodle sessions, a private Facebook group, and a membership portal where you will find information and activities to develop your doodle skills.

The beauty of doodling is that there is no pressure to create something perfect, and it’s great for people at any stage of their creative journey. You can join now for just £1 and get 10 days access to the Club.

Why join Doodle Club?

It can be hard to develop a creative habit…

It’s hard to know where to start and what to do when it comes to developing your creativity. Your head gets in the way trying to tell you that you ‘should’ be creating something amazing – a perfect piece of art.

You compare yourself to other creatives and their work, after all its so much better than yours, right?!

You question your creative abilities, and maybe even think you aren’t creative.

The idea of being creative feels daunting and overwhelming.

The thought of that blank page that is waiting for you stops you before you have even started and you are in the constant cycle of thinking ‘I’ll do something creative tomorrow’…but tomorrow never comes.

It’s difficult to find the time and to stick to a creative habit…there’s always things that get in the way, preventing you from having that time to yourself.

It doesn’t have to be like this! What if you could let go of your worries and simply become involved in some creative play?

Imagine…

  • Building confidence in your creative abilities and throwing out all the noisy thoughts of ‘right ways’ of creating art.
  • Feeling inspired and energised to create, rather than daunted and overwhelmed.
  • Being able to commit to showing up for yourself and have a time and space where you can truly relax and play.
  • Knowing your art is not better or worse than others – it is unique and authentically you. And that’s fantastic!
  • Removing the barriers to being creative by exploring ideas and allowing yourself to feel your creativity and go with the flow.
  • Embracing imperfection and the joys of what the unknown can bring in your creative work and in life!
  • Being part of a community of like-minded people who are on their creative journey with you. A community of supportive, helpful people with no judgement.
  • Finally feeling like you CAN be creative, without fear.

Hi, Im Liz, I live to be creative and I want to share my passion with you! Join me on a creative journey to rediscover what it’s like to be playful, and take enjoyment from life in ways where the only limits are our imaginations!

Do you remember what it was like when you were a child and you would draw, paint and create without fear or expectation? Maybe you see your children making marks on paper and the joy that it brings them and feel that this is something you would like too.

This is exactly why I have created Doodle Club!

I want to help you commit to being more creative through doodling. The club will encourage you to set aside some time for yourself by holding a creative space for you in the form of weekly doodle sessions, and you will be able to connect with others to share ideas and tips, feel inspired and develop your skills. It is a collaborative space where we can encourage and celebrate each other.

‘But what is doodling?’ I hear you ask!

There are many thoughts and definitions on doodling. My interpretation is:

Doodling is a form of self-expression through mark making. It can be sparked by some kind of inspiration or prompt, but is essentially a way of drawing intuitively and engaging in your own creative flow.

There are no rules in doodling, it is an opportunity to let go of self-judgement and expectation, to experience the simple joy of creating, being in the moment, and to explore, experiment, play and have fun!

What Doodle Club members are saying…

“I signed up to the club to have fun and relax and I love it because it is so much fun and easy to do. There is no pressure and no right or wrong.”

Susan

“From taking part in the sessions, I’ve learned that I don’t need to be afraid to put pen to paper; that I can create something that I love to look at afterwards; and that it’s a very mindful activity that I find calming and enjoyable.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to attend all the sessions?

No, come along when you like. I try my best to accommodate as many people as I can with the times of the sessions, so if you have any suggestions about the times or days of sessions, please get in touch and I’ll see what I can do.

What if I’m too busy and I get behind?

The great thing about Doodle Club is that it is a membership, not a course. You can choose when you want to take part and what you would like to do. There is no pressure to attend all the sessions. If we have prompts or challenges, you can choose what interests you, and leave what doesn’t. Dip in and out as you like!

I haven’t done any art before, is this for me?

YES!!! Doodle club is all about exploring, playing and experimenting, so it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any experience with creating art. The membership is all about YOU and what you create will come naturally from within. Don’t worry, I am here to support you and cheer you on. You’ve got this!

I don’t feel confident about being creative, is this for me?

Absolutely! Doodle Club is for you whatever stage of your creative journey you are at. I believe that everyone is creative…sometimes we just need a little bit of help and encouragement to get going. The FREE bonus Mindful Doodling Course is a great starting point for building confidence.

What if I'm unhappy with my purchase or I wish to cancel my subscription?

You can cancel at any time. There is a 10-day £1 trial period to test Doodle Club before you commit to paying for a full month. This is non-refundable. After the 10 days, you will be charged full price monthly until you choose to cancel. There is no minimum length of time to be a member. If you cancel, your membership will be active until the end of that paid month and then not renewed. All the information about how to manage your subscription will be in the membership portal.

What materials do I need?

You don’t need much in the way of materials for Doodle Club. The basics are any kind of paper and pen/pencil…yes really that’s all you need! You don’t need to buy anything special to start with. Scrap paper for example is fantastic because there is less pressure to create something beautiful….its important to remember that Doodle Club is about having a go, having fun, relaxing and enjoying the process. Use what you have and see how things go for you. At some point you may want to invest in some drawing paper/sketchbook, drawing pens and pencils and felt tips or paints, but you really don’t need them to start.

I still have a question, how can I contact you?

I would love to answer any other questions. You can email me at hello@indigo-star.uk

More About Liz

Creativity has always been at the heart of what I do. From being a young child I would engross myself in arts and crafts, and in projects to engage with others and build a sense of community. When I was about 12 years old, I set up an eco club at my school which I planned projects and activities for. I think this was when I realised how much I loved sharing things with others and bringing people together. I have used my skills over the years to develop powerful creative and engaging community projects and courses on a wide range of issues and subjects. I believe that creativity is not just about being ‘arty’ but about approaching life in a different way – bringing fun and play into how we engage with and interpret the world around us. I invite you to join me on a creative journey through life to rediscover what it’s like to be playful, and take enjoyment from life in ways where the only limits are our imaginations!
